The Fuad M. Sahouri Scholarship Fund
In recognition of the remarkable legacy and unwavering dedication of our founder, Fuad M. Sahouri, we are proud to announce the establishment of the Fuad M. Sahouri Memorial Scholarship. This prestigious scholarship serves as a lasting tribute, enduring his legacy and profound commitment to advancing understanding and engagement in global affairs.
This Scholarship aims to support and empower promising students who share Mr. Sahouri’s passion for foreign policy, international relations and business. ABPA Institute seeks to honor his visionary leadership and advocacy by providing financial assistance to deserving individuals who demonstrate exceptional promise and dedication to the field.
Eligibility:
- Must be a current full-time undergraduate or graduate student of Arab descent, currently majoring in the field of foreign policy, international relations, political science, or business at an accredited US-based four-year college or university.
- Applicants should exhibit academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to making a positive impact in their respective field.
- Must be a legal resident of the Washington DC, Maryland, or Virginia area.
Scholarship Details:
- Amount: $2,000
- Number of Scholarships: 2

Application Requirements:
Applicants are required to submit the following documents as part of their scholarship application:
- Completed Application Form
- Official Transcripts
- Resume
- A Personal Statement reflecting on career goals in their respective field, and how the scholarship will impact their academic journey (minimum 500 words)
- One Letter of Recommendation written by a faculty member or a professional (from the student’s field of study)
Selection Process:
The ABPA Institute team and Sahouri Family will meticulously review applications. Selection will be based on a combination of academic merit, commitment to the field, and the strength of the applicant's personal statement and weighted as follows:
Personal Statement 35%
College Transcript (GPA) 30%
Letter of Recommendation 20%
Up-to-Date Resume 15%
