Dr. Salah S. Hassan is a Marketing & Strategic Brand Management Professor at George Washington University and served as Department Chair. On top of serving as the academic director of the graduate certificate program in Marketing & Brand Management, Dr. Hassan is also directing a collaborative initiative called Client-Based Learning and Research (CBLR) that focuses on addressing the brand management challenges facing leading organizations.  

Dr. Hassan is an active member of the board of directors and serves on the advisory board of several leading corporates and non-profit organizations, including End Poverty Now, a Canadian non-profit organization based in Montreal, focusing on poverty alleviation in developing countries. The GW professor formerly served as Chairman of the Sustainable Development Forum (SDF), a think-tank organization of experts from a variety of disciplines representing 12 countries/5 continents to promote a deeper understanding of global development issues.  

Dr. Hassan served on the interdisciplinary teams of several major international assignments that focused on such projects as Brand-Customer Experience Management and International CSR Best-Practice Analysis. Dr. Hassan completed numerous national and international assignments and executive development programs for organizations such as: Raytheon International, The World Bank, Smithsonian Institution, The US State Department, Winrock International, the Fulbright Commission, and the Science & Technology Cooperation (USAID).  

Dr. Hassan co-authored an Arab World edition of the widely acclaimed Marketing Management, Philip Kotler & Kevin Keller, Pearson Education. Additionally, Dr. Hassan published nearly 100 articles in refereed journals, business periodicals, and international conferences.
